Los Chileros Chile de Arbol Whole

Salsa de Chile de Arbol

Ingredients
  

  • 8-10 Los Chileros Chiles de Arbol
  • 12-15 tomatillos remove husks and rinse
  • 3 cloves garlic peeled
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions
 

  • In a frying pan or comal, toast tomatillos until slightly charred (approximately 10 minutes). Set aside.
  • Lower heat and toast chiles de arbol turning them around every few seconds. Be careful – they burn easily.
  • Combine ingredients in a blender and blend to desired consistency. The thicker the better – about 7 seconds. Makes a great table sauce.
